Our stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were a bit of a letdown as they were late getting ready, which made us late for our appointment, and there was a lingering smell of tobacco smoke despite being in a non-smoking room. It was also surprising that there was no microwave available. However, the convenient location within walking distance to downtown and Rogers Arena was a definite highlight. The service, though professional, lacked detailed information about hotel amenities and appeared judgmental during check-in due to our booking method. The dining experience was satisfactory but a bit overpriced for what was offered. On the bright side, the hotel offered a beautiful view of the river. Overall, an average stay with some notable drawbacks and benefits.

I had a great experience at the hotel. The rooms were really nice, especially considering I had only booked that afternoon and I was pleasantly surprised by having a big window with an amazing view. The higher up you stay, the more comfortable the rooms seem. The service was helpful and friendly, though it felt a bit busy at times. The location was perfect for enjoying the festivities of Grey Cup, but there were some challenges with vehicle accessibility, especially for larger cars. The dining was okay but not exceptional, and the facilities were satisfactory overall.

Rooms
9.0
The room I stayed in was beautifully upgraded with an amazing view.
Service
7.0
The staff were helpful and friendly, but at times seemed overwhelmed, especially with a fairly large partying crowd. Despite this, they maintained a clean and nice environment.
Location
6.0
The hotel's central downtown Edmonton location was convenient for accessing the mall, bus stations, and shops, as well as being handy to the subway station that took us to Rexall Place for a hockey game. However, it could be confusing and unsafe at times, especially for those with larger vehicles like trucks. Additional charges for parking were a drawback, and the river view rooms may require a bit of neck stretching to fully enjoy the view.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was ordinary and a bit pricey, not standing out much compared to other dining options outside the hotel. The canapes and drinks provided in the early evening helped a bit, but the overall quality was not exceptional.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered basic facilities that met my needs during the stay. There were no standout amenities but everything was functional and maintained.

The hotel offers a very comfortable stay with a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, though outdated, are quite cozy with a comfortable king bed and a large desk area, though some power supply issues were noticed. The service was mostly friendly and helpful, with a small issue of forgetting to return my credit card, but they promptly resolved it by offering a discount on parking fees. The location, while convenient for exploring downtown, might not be the safest for solo female travelers at night. The dining options were limited, but the lounge had a fantastic view of the river valley. Overall, a satisfactory stay with room for improvement.

Rooms
7.0

The staff was friendly and professional, quickly addressing any requests. There was a minor issue with returning my credit card, but they compensated with a discount on parking fees.
Location
6.0
The hotel's location is convenient, with easy access to downtown restaurants and bus stops. However, better maintenance is needed, especially around the coffee maker area, and safety concerns were raised for solo female travelers at night.
Dining
6.0
The dining options were limited, but the lounge offered a beautiful view of the river valley. Breakfast inconvenience was noted due to serving at a different location, affecting the overall experience.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel facilities need some maintenance improvements, but the lounge with a view is a standout feature. Some attention to cleanliness and service delivery could enhance the overall experience.

Staying in a concierge floor entitled us to a higher floor along with breakfast and late afternoon snacks, although hearing neighbors having fun was a downside. The rooms, while older, were clean but showed signs of wear and tear.

Rooms

The rooms are dated and showing wear and tear but were clean.
Service
8.0
The service staff were friendly and helpful, although they were fairly busy with a large crowd.
Location
8.0
The location is amazing for downtown activities and close to everything we needed, but not very vehicle-accessible for larger cars. A river view room required some effort to enjoy.
Dining

Dining in one of the private ballrooms was overpriced for what was available, with the breakfast buffet leaving much to be desired.
